Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry Karen Karakyan

How did the idea of creating the simulation center arise?

Since the early years of the institute, so-called phantom classrooms have been in operation, later equipped with modern phantoms. The idea of establishing a simulation center emerged as a response to growing educational demands. Modern dentistry requires highly skilled specialists, and the center will allow students to practice skills in conditions as close to reality as possible, without risk to patients.

What tasks is the simulation center intended to address?

The center addresses key objectives:

– acquiring clinical skills before working with real patients;

– reducing students’ anxiety before medical interventions;

– enhancing learning effectiveness through practical and interactive methods;

– conducting final exams with assessment of practical skills.

What are your expectations from the center’s activities?

We expect the center to improve education quality, develop practical skills, strengthen students’ confidence, and prepare dentists ready to work in challenging conditions.
